Save the Animals Fund

Pets today are considered an integral part of the family. No one should have to put their beloved pet to sleep because of an inability to pay veterinary medical bills. The Capper & Chris Save the Animals Fund was established in 1997 to bridge the gap between a pet owner’s ability to pay for lifesaving medical treatment and the costs of the procedure.

The Capper & Chris Save the Animals Fund provides financial assistance to pet owners who could not otherwise afford a life- saving procedure for their animal, especially those pets that might have to be euthanized due to prohibitive financial hard- ship to the family.

When a patient of the East Rockaway Veterinary Hospital passes away Dr. Selkowitz makes a memorial donation in honor of the pet to the Texas A&M University Capper & Chris Save The Animals Fund.
